Dear Parents, Caregivers, Staff and Students,
Welcome to the new school year! I wish everyone a blessed and positive 2022. It has been wonderful to have the students arrive at school this year in a calm and settled manner and I thank all parents and caregivers who have played a significant role in preparing the children for the year ahead. Together with our amazing staff team, I look forward to another rich and fruitful year at Liwara. A very special welcome is extended to all our new families this year and our new and returning staff members.

Dear Parents, Caregivers, Staff and Students,
As the year comes to a close, I send you my warmest wishes and blessings. May the miracle of Christmas bring you joy and happiness. I wish you contentment and peace among you and your family.
As I reflect on the 2021 year and how much we have accomplished, it is my firm belief that education is a shared commitment between dedicated teachers, motivated students and enthusiastic parents with high expectations. So I would like to thank you, parents, for providing a vital support system between the teachers to help our students flourish. As it is when both groups work together, toward the same goal, that one sees significant growth in a child’s developmental and educational outcomes. Therefore, my message to our parents as we end the year is to continue to ‘be a helping hand in the students’ learning journeys and travel with them as a true inspiration’ in the years ahead.

As the 2021 school year draws to a close it is time to reflect on another busy, successful year at Liwara. The children and staff have worked hard and achieved so much throughout the year. Enjoy spending time together with you child reading through their Semester Two Reports on the Seqta Engage Portal and create lasting memories reflecting on the year that has been! Thank you to the Liwara Community and All Saints Parish for continuing to work together so closely for the benefit of our children.

Dear Parents, Caregivers, Staff and Students,
On Thursday 11 November, silence fell across each state and territory for one minute as Australia commemorated those who have died in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations. Remembrance Day has evolved since it was first marked by allied countries after World War I, in which more than 60,000 Australians lost their lives. November 11 is now observed around the world as a day to remember the sacrifice that countless of people have made in service to their country. ‘Lest we forget.’

Dear Parents, Caregivers, Staff and Students,
Congratulations to our Liwara Primary Choir who received an award of Excellence for their performance at the recent Performing Arts Sacred Choral section. Mrs Plint was so proud as they took to the stage and enthusiastically participated and sang with gusto and melodic unison. A special vote of thanks goes out to Mr John Fernandez who accompanied the choir on his guitar to make the performance even more special.
