     Prayer for End of Term

We thank you Lord, for this term. For our challenges, our successes, and the mistakes from which we have learnt.
Be with us as we spend our time with family and friends.

Keep us safe in our activities; give us good rest and good fun.
Bring us back refreshed and ready for a new term.
We thank you for our classmates, teachers, parents and a community that cares for us.

Amen

FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Parents and Caregivers

END OF SCHOOL TERM

As we approach the end of the school term, I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your continued support and collaboration this term.  Your dedication and involvement have greatly contributed to the successful achievements, memorable events and enriching experiences for all our students.

With the holidays just around the corner, I wish you and your families a joyful and restful break.  May this time be filled with happiness, relaxation, and cherished moments together.  Keep safe and stay healthy during your break.

DANCE SHOWCASE

Congratulations to our students who participated enthusiastically in our dance showcase which was another positive whole school experience. It was wonderful to see many of our extended family members present.  We were fortunate once again to be entertained by the Mater Dei Band Showcase where the high school students engaged our children with a fun and interactive performance.

SCHOOL TOURS

We have engaged in two successful, very well attended school tours from members of the wider community.  Special thanks go out to Mrs Anne Stent who coordinates these tours each year and to Mrs Alysia Davini & Mrs Angela Ford who represented our current parent body to share their experiences with the visitors.

END OF TERM MASS

It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the end of term at Mass with Father Stephen as our celebrant as Fr Elver is away visiting family overseas.   Our students once again were enthusiastically engaged and respectful in their participation as we reflected on the term’s accomplishments and expressed gratitude for a successful term. Following the Mass, we proudly recognised our Trust Certificate recipients, celebrating their hard work and contributions to our school community. Your presence made the event even more special.

SEASON 2 2024 JUNIOR BASKETBALL COMPETITION

I understand there is a desperation for thousands of children on waiting lists across Perth, with all other competitions full as at this point in time. I am hoping to spread the word to allow more kids to be playing the sport that they love rather than sitting on a waiting list.

Participation in the Junior Basketball competition offers numerous benefits beyond simply playing the sport. It instils valuable life skills such as teamwork, discipline, leadership, resilience, and inclusivity. These traits not only contribute to success on the court but also translate into other aspects of the participants' lives, including their academic pursuits and personal relationships.

In keeping with our commitment to inclusivity, the Junior Basketball competition welcomes players of all skill levels. We encourage newcomers to join and experience the joy of basketball, while more experienced players can challenge themselves and refine their abilities.

Please see the attached flyer and link to competition details:  https://www.wanneroo.wa.gov.au/kingswayjuniorsportscomp
